Inspired by A.G. Gaston’s philosophy of recognizing and fulfilling the needs of the people, Mitchell shifted her attention towards the impact of LinkedIn on prospective employees and employers through training, coaching, and speaking engagements. Utilizing her firsthand knowledge, she remains steadfast in her passion for advancing brands through the top-ranking social media platform for professional and business purposes.

In her current position, Mitchell empowers her clients to #ShineOnline through compelling LinkedIn presentations, trainings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and LinkedIn profile audits, services that have since gone entirely virtual in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mitchell attributes her success to her ability to empowering her clients to boldly tell their stories via LinkedIn, applying her incredible background in communications and her own personal experience with the platform to each of their individual circumstances and profiles. She additionally offers her unique perspectives and advice to up-and-coming entrepreneurs and LinkedIn users overall through her ‘Shine Online Bulletin,’ a LinkedIn newsletter that she publishes twice a month. One of more popular articles was, “3 Tricks That Don’t Boost LinkedIn Engagement.” In January 2021, LinkedIn recognized Mitchell’s newsletter as a Top Pick for users to learn how to enhance their networks and online visibility.

Prior to cementing herself as an entrepreneur in branding and professional exposure, Mitchell found success as a freelance print journalist between 1990 and 2017, during which time she conducted interviews and penned articles for such media outlets as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee Community Journal, Toledo Journal, Naturally Moi and the Electronic Urban Report, to name only a few. As her online reputation grew within her specialty shortly thereafter, she was sought out to write a feature article in the summer 2017 issue of A Women’s Thing, a New York City magazine. Additionally, Mitchell was recruited as a community affairs contributor for the “In the Know” Radio Magazine Show, in which she reported on current news topics on-air for Radio-Free Nashville between 2018 and 2019.
